Things that are a “must” experience:
- Magen’s Bay – a tranquil horseshoe shaped lagoon that will have you feeling like the only few people left on earth. Depending on the day, you may find the food truck specializing in adult milkshakes! The kids can try the delicious customary version, but adults can have an extra kick in theirs. mmm…
- Blackbeard’s Castle – we’ve all heard of this pirate, but here you can visit his hideaway.
- Day trips! Want to feel like you’re on a cruise without being on a ship? Take advantage of the day trips to outer islands. It’s the best of all worlds
- For the adventurous – Zip lining, kayaking, Eco tours or maybe a day at the Coral World Ocean Park!
- Nightlife – it’s in abundance! Why? Well here a pickup with a camper can be a bar. Add a canopy and a few tables and it’s called a disco! But a favorite of mine- Duffy’s. It’s a cement enclosure in the parking lot of a strip mall with a vast menu of festive cocktails served in souvenir glassware. We got a second suitcase to take home one of each after a week of partying there! Don’t let the location fool you. This place is island deluxe inside.
